dbt test

A dbt test is an automated check that a model meets expectations, such as unique, not null or valid values.

Generic tests like unique, not_null, accepted_values and relationships cover most basics, and custom tests handle business rules. Tests run in CI and on schedule, catching data problems before dashboards break.

Every model key should have a uniqueness and not-null test.
