Explorations are GA4 free-form analysis tools for building custom reports such as funnels, paths and segment overlaps.

Beyond the standard reports, Explorations let you choose dimensions, metrics, segments and a technique, for example funnel exploration, path exploration or cohort exploration. They are a good place for ad hoc questions.
They are subject to sampling and thresholding rules, so for large or sensitive questions many teams query the raw export in BigQuery instead.
