Consent management platform (CMP)

A consent management platform collects and records visitor consent choices and tells your tags what they are allowed to do.

It shows the cookie banner, stores each choice and exposes it to your tag manager. Combined with Consent Mode, tags then adapt their behaviour to the visitor choice.

Check that your CMP is configured for each region you serve and that it fires before any tracking tag.
