What is Pageview

Pageview is an instance of a website visitor viewing a particular page on a site. A pageview is recorded whenever a full page of your website is viewed or refreshed.

Keep in mind that the number of pageviews is not equal to the number of visitors on your website. A visitor can have multiple pageviews per session.

A good metric to look at when analyzing your website’s traffic is pageviews per session, this will give a hint of how relevant and engaging your content is.

PS! Pageview is not the same as unique pageview. A unique pageview is the number of sessions during which the specified page was viewed at least once.
