Backfill

A backfill loads or reprocesses historical data, for example after adding a new source or fixing a bug.

Good pipelines make backfills safe: running one twice should not duplicate data. Source APIs often limit how far back or how fast you can pull history.

Plan backfills before launching a pipeline so reports have history from day one.
