Scroll depth
Scroll depth measures how far down a page visitors scroll, often reported in percentages.
Written by Reflective Data experts · updated Oct 5, 2026
It shows whether content below the fold is seen at all. GA4 records a single scroll event at 90 percent by default; custom tracking can capture 25, 50 and 75 percent thresholds.
Scroll depth tells you about reach, not about reading or attention.
