GDPR

GDPR

At Reflective Data we take our customers’ privacy very seriously and will do our best to keep it safe.

As a large portion of our customers are based in EU, being GDPR compliant is a must.

Unlike many other companies, we believe that everyone’s privacy is important. Therefore, the same privacy features apply to our customers across the world, not just EU.

What is GDPR?

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regulations are the new rules passed by the EU to enhance digital protections for EU citizens.

We kindly ask you to go through the GDPR definitions, the same definitions are being used on this page.

IP Address

While in most cases IP address is not uniquely identifiable information, in some cases it might become so. That is why Reflective Data does not collect or store IP addresses at all.

Anonymous and Pseudonymous Information

What this means is that if there is any way that combined information from any data sets can identify an individual, then it is not anonymous. In other words, if it is possible to combine your data with some other piece of information, anywhere in the world, and identify an individual, it is not considered anonymous. For something to be truly anonymous it means it must remain forever anonymous, with no way for it to ever be identified

At Reflective Data, we keep the data we stored fully anonymous.

Data Encryption

All data is being securely sha256 encrypted while in transit. This provides sufficient protection against Man-in-the-middle (and similar) attacks.

Opt-Out

Depending on local laws/regulations, you may be required to offer an opt-out for tracking on your website. We recommend describing that you use Reflective Data, what it’s for, and providing an option to opt-out from all Reflective Data trackers. Read more about opting-out.
